Important Information

UK citizens are granted a visa exemption for 15 days when travelling to, and staying in the resorts of, Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Dahab or Nuweiba. If you are travelling outside of these resorts, for any length of time, wish to stay for longer than 15 days, or if you are travelling for business purposes, you should apply for a full visa or eVisa.

Is this visa the right one for me?

This visa can be used for tourist travel to Egypt only. Business activities are not allowed. Tourist activities include:

  • Holidays
  • Sightseeing or Packpacking
  • Visiting Family or Friends
  • Unpaid Sports/Music/Dance Roles
  • Attending a Wedding or Funeral
  • Religious Purposes
  • Medical Treatments

A Single Entry Visa to Egypt will allow entry to the country on one occasion for up to the maximum stay within the validity period. Re-entry is not allowed. If you need the ability to return to the country within the same validity period you should choose a different visa type.
