New Zealand Documents

We’re experts in helping to legalise (attest) your documents that were issued in New Zealand for use around the world. The process is straightforward - documents must be authenticated and legalised by the relevant embassy before they are ready for use in that country.

How Does It Work?

To attest your New Zealand Documents, we will require both the original certificate and a copy of your passport.

  1. Send your documents over to our UK office.
  2. They’ll be sent to New Zealand, where two things will happen:
    • Apostille – The document will be sent to the government’s Department of Internal Affairs for authentication. Once approved, an Apostille will be attached to the front page.
    • Embassy Legalisation – Then, we’ll send your documents to the relevant Embassy in Australia, where they’ll add their Embassy stamp to the front page.
  3. We’ll have the attested documents sent wherever you need them, anywhere in the world.

The basic process is common across the board, though there can be some variation depending on the type of document you wish to attest, and the country you wish to attest it for. For example, some documents, such as contracts, powers of attorney, educational documents, and Chamber of Commerce certificates require Notarisation before the rest of the process takes place. This means the signatures on your documents will need to be witnessed by a notary public or a lawyer, who will then attach a signed notary seal on the document to show that it is legitimate. The process of "Authentication and Legalisation" can then proceed. Any document already bearing a seal and signature of an approved government agency are not subject to notarisation requirements.
